1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Corpus Lawyers (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on corpuslawyers.in. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Notice and Terms of Use.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They enable the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and understand how the website is used. Cookies may be set by us (first-party cookies) or by third parties whose services we use (third-party cookies).
3. Categories of cookies we use
We classify cookies into four categories and use only the first two on corpuslawyers.in:
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies. These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They include session cookies, security cookies (e.g., CSRF and login-throttle cookies set by our security middleware), and cookies that store the state of the Cookieyes consent banner. These are processed on the lawful basis of “legitimate uses” under s.7(g) of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as they are necessary to maintain the security and integrity of the website.
3.2 Analytics Cookies (consent-gated). We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to understand aggregate visitor patterns (pages visited, time on site, country-level geography, device type). GA4 cookies are loaded only after you grant analytics consent through the Cookieyes banner. IP addresses are anonymised at collection. We do not use GA4 Signals, advertising features, or remarketing.
3.3 Advertising / Marketing Cookies. Not used. Corpus Lawyers does not advertise or solicit. No advertising or remarketing cookies are deployed.
3.4 Functional Cookies. Not currently used. Should we introduce functional cookies (for example, to remember your reading preferences), this Policy will be updated in advance and your consent will be sought through the Cookieyes banner.
4. Full list of cookies (current deployment)
| Cookie name | Category | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|---|

We will update this table whenever cookies are added or removed.
5. Your consent
5.1 On your first visit, a consent banner is displayed. You may accept all, reject all non-essential cookies, or customise your choices by category. Rejecting analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the website.
5.2 You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking the “Manage Consent” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawal applies prospectively.
5.3 Consent is recorded with a timestamp (see our Privacy Notice for details of the consent-logging mechanism).
6. Your rights as a Data Principal (DPDP Act, 2023)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights:
6.1 Right to access information about personal data processed about you (s.11).
6.2 Right to correction, completion, updating, and erasure of your personal data (s.12).
6.3 Right of grievance redressal (s.13).
6.4 Right to nominate another individual to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity (s.14).
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the contact details in Section 9 below. We will respond within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Act and rules framed thereunder.
7. Cross-border transfer
GA4 is a service provided by Google LLC and cookie data collected through GA4 may be processed outside India, in jurisdictions where Google operates data centres. The Central Government may notify restricted territories under s.16 of the DPDP Act; as of the date of this Policy no such restriction applies to the jurisdictions relevant to GA4. We will update this clause if the notified list changes.
8. How to control cookies in your browser
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. The following official help pages explain how:

- Safari: support.apple.com/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac
